After Yule (Unit 3)
The solstice and Christmas may have come and gone, but in many ways, the party has only just begun! In this final unit, learn about the various customs that ring in the New Year and beyond. From Hogmanay to Litte Christmas, gain insight and recipes to help you mark, celebrate, and prolong the Yuletide season.
As you may have guessed, the material for the end of the course is somewhat light. As such, instead of dividing the audio recordings by subject, I combined them into one 15 minute recording. I will note that the audio recording has a bit of extra content, as I am prone to academic asides!
This unit covers the Scottish holiday of Hogmanay (or New Year), customs and traditions for winding down the season, and several fun recipes to try!
The two sections are provided as both beautifully-crafted, printable PDF handouts, and also as a mp3 audio recording. There is also a handout of the song "Auld Lang Syne" for your enjoyment.
